Mr Christoph Blecher

Founder of Ahead4babies in London and Cranoiform in Germany and Switzerland

​

Mr Blecher is a qualified maxillofacial surgeon, most recently with a position at the University of Giessen in Germany, as a craniofacial surgeon.

​

Mr Blecher has held an honorary consultant post at Kings College London in the late 1990’s. He used to work as a senior surgeon at the University Hospital in Giessen, Germany for almost 12 years.

 

He is now part of the craniofacial team at the Hirslanden Medical Center in Switzerland. He currently treats patients in London, Germany and Switzerland.

He is author and co-author of many scientific publications.

Dr Stenhouse is a Consultant Maxillofacial Surgeon at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, London. He studied Medicine and Dentistry at Guy’s Hospital London and undertook his specialist training in Maxillofacial Surgery at University College London Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital, London and The Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead accrediting in 2003. He was appointed as a Consultant the same year.

​

His special interests include the management of congenital and acquired craniofacial deformity in both children and adults and he is currently education supervisor for the higher surgical trainees in Maxillofacial Surgery at King’s College Hospital, London.

Dr Huppa studied medicine at the medical schools of the Universities of Luxembourg and Dusseldorf (Germany) and qualified in medicine in 1993. (German State Exam in Medicine).

He took a full course of dentistry at the dental schools of the Universities of Dusseldorf and Cologne and qualified as a Dental Surgeon in 1996 (German State Exam in Dentistry).

He then joined the Department of Oral, Maxillofacial and Facial Plastic Surgery of the University Hospital Leipzig (Germany) where he qualified as a Facial Surgeon in 2000. Until 2003 he trained in Facial Plastic Surgery in the same department and specialised in the treatment of skull deformities and surgery for cleft lip and palate.

During his training, he spent a few months as a Specialist Registrar in the craniofacial centre at the Birmingham Children’s Hospital. His special interests are craniofacial deformities including cleft lip and palate as well as facial trauma.

​

Dr Huppa was appointed as a Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon at King’s College Hospital, London (NHS Foundation Trust) in 2003. In 2005 he was appointed as a Consultant Clef Surgeon at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospitals, London (NHS Foundation Trust) but left the department in 2009 to become the Clinical Lead in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at King’s College Hospital.

​

During his training in Germany, Dr Huppa conducted several scientific studies in the medical field.

 

He was subsequently awarded the academic title of a “Dr. med.” (MD) in 2002 for his fundamental studies of hearing systems by the medical faculty of the Heinrich-Heine-University Dusseldorf.

​

He has been lecturing at international conferences in the UK, India, Switzerland and Germany.
